glad to see that this is being used! so i think that this zambia connection is pretty cool especially for group 4 which is taking on a new look for next year. so, we were supposed to have the social at branksome in april, but none of you came, so i was pretty sad. we shall try again soon. also, branksome is hosting a conference on international health on may 17. please email me if you would like to come! Hi my name is Alvin
I also go to school at ISL and I am Ugandan. I was born in Anitigua and I have lived in zambia for 14 years (well if u consider me being at boarding school in Kenya as not living in Zambia). I'm in my 1st year of IB. Yea there are a lot of nationalities but it is indian dominated.

You know Africa is normally considered as one in the western world, when actually there are several different cultures. And about the animals, they don't live in our houses. About the CAS programs I think it is not correct to say "Zambians" as it seems as though all zambians are not priveleged.

My name is Ashley and I go to Branksome as well. Hate to burst Nicky and Tori's bubble... But we totally don't live in igloos. *lol* Our school is in Toronto, Ontario in Canada and we're probably a lot like you guys, actually. But as Lucas said, here we don't have big walls around our homes. We also do work with underprivileged children and people here for CAS hours, but it's not that weird for us to be around those types of people. In the city we get a lot of different people with different nationalities and wealth. We aren’t really completely cut off from less privileged people here, and from what I've read and heard, there seems to be a higher percentage of underprivileged people in Zambia than here and more of them seem to have problems like AIDS and not just financial troubles. And I believe your teacher told our ToK teacher, Mr. Mindorff, that you guys don't really have much to do with them unless it's for CAS. Correct me if I'm wrong?
